Reflect on the CI 6/10
My question that I wrote was 'how are teenagers represented in society in the 21st century? how /why are they not show optimistically in teen movies'?
The group has helped me in another question why is ' An investigation into the relationship between contemporary teens movies and earlier dated movies in society. What are the connection and similarities presented and what makes one more successful'? having shown a relationship this will help me understand and help me with making a comparisons and similarities also between movies on different centuries. In order to have a primary and secondary source i should insure that i look different teen movies and teen soap such as inbetweeners, skins, W10 LDN. Looking at British and Americans film would help me, which allow teens portrayal in these two areas. There are large varieties of representations to look at. I should also look into movies reviews on teen film possibly of reviewers ideas on how teen are presented in certain film. Marxist approach: Hegemony: why/who decides how teenagers are represented the dominant people in society (Shep). The ideas of people making decisions for the majority seems 'alienated' in itself. Why do some peoples ideologies and belief get heard and notice about teenagers and other don't. People think that they are deciding what to believe however the written producer etc.
These ideas definitely helped me, i have changed my mind in to a different platform, i thinking in to look at television how is teenagers portrayed in reality TV show or how teenagers attitude changed so this will be on newspaper and magazines.

Research on Mest3
In the past two weeks I have a looked at different articles, there was one in particular that caught my eyes because in the 21st century you don't see many 12 year old have a kid. It kind of surprised me, that a twelve year old getting pregnant. After seeing this the following day I see the news report on a different story but a 9 year old girls saying that she was accusing 2 ten year old boy of raping her. Today in society you see many young kids in knife crime, stealing, falling pregnant.
Peter Russel punching someone in the face after photographer taking picture of Katy perry his fiancé from a low angle.
John Terry and Wayne Rooney both have similar story. I analysed both text in the newspaper and Internet and how they are different and what statement was true or lies. This story has been in the media for some time, you came also compare that footballer have a tenancy to do this, Cheryl Cole ex-husband Ashely Cole, peter Crouch
I like to read something rather that watch the news or something, I find it easily so for example if I am bored of that article I would just skip it but if it was on the news I would have to wait till the main headline. There are loads of different platforms. I have just looked at two platform so i looking hopefully in these two more week to come i will look at different platforms such as newspaper, magazines or even peoples word. i have to also look at different institutions. Mainly look at Daily Mail because i like to read of there more than over site.

Marxism
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iD1AO7osvQ
Marx was a 19 century philosopher, socialist and economist whose ideas have a huge impact on 'cultural Theory". The study of "ideology" is largely a Marxist invention. "Everything had already been decided for us and we pay that tiny powerful minority very well to make these choices". This is shown through matrix red pill or the blue. No-one does not believe in fate because he has things running through his mind he has no choice. We all believe in fate because whatever is to happen will happen. There is no choice of what you would like to happen. You dont choice your life, it happen, its suppose to happen. He want to know what is going to happen but it likely to happen.
Marx also believed that the most powerful force in society was the economic self interest of the dominant social class and the struggle with up & coming subordinate classes or groups. the ideology of the society are therefore a legitimation of ruling classes and their position. We see that human change the society to make it better but the human themselves change.
A number of Marxist theorists have develpoed the study of ideology further, such as Althusser, Gramsci, 'The Frankfurt School' other theorists influcenced by these idead include Foucault, Bourdieu, Stuart Hall and the structurslists & the post Mordenists.

Extension
Marxist thinkers claims that the media legitimizes the dominant ideology and a capitalist system, the inequality of life is shown as natural, entertainment is unchallenging of this ideology and therefore encouraged passivity.
Big brother is a reality tv programme, the kinds of programme know as a ' reality TV' forms a very mixed bag. They include what essential game show , big brother.
Reality TV in all its versions, but particularly in its reality game show format, represents, from the producers' and broadcasters' side, an attempt to respond to the changing economics of contemporary television.
The fact that big Brother gains such a large enthusiastic in audience of young people tells us something about life modern capitalism.
